The Courtyard Restaurant is a fresh, open-plan dining venue serving hearty full Irish breakfasts and a delicious 3-course set menu. The array of dishes served at the restaurant skilfully combine modern cuisine with beloved traditional Irish favourites.  On top of that, the menu changes daily, so there’s always something new to enjoy, making it an excellent choice for any dining occasion.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a more casual experience, head over to Scotts Bar. This lively spot is great for a relaxed lunch or a laid-back dinner with friends. The portions are generous, and the menu is full of favourites like juicy burgers, comforting Cottage Pie, and the ever-popular fish and chips.

Behind the scenes 

The culinary mastermind behind the delightful flavours at Scotts Hotel is none other than our Head Chef, Colin McCormack. With years of experience in the kitchen, Colin is passionate about showcasing the very best that Kerry has to offer. When asked what fuels his work, he simply says, “I just enjoy cooking!”.

Colin’s journey into the culinary world began as a summer job; he quickly fell in love with the “chefs life” and kept returning to it time and a time again. As a family-run business, Colin finds Scotts Hotel a friendly and welcoming environment. He especially noted the strong bond with his kitchen team and highlighted that many of his colleagues have worked alongside him for over eight years, creating a close-knit, reliable group.

From the varsity of foods served at Scotts, one dish that truly reflects Colin’s love for preparing delicious meals is his personal favourite – the Sunday Roast. Tender, rich, and full of delicious flavours, this dish showcases the best of local cuisine. With its comforting, hearty flavours and premium local ingredients- Sunday Roast brings back warm childhood memories for Colin and many of our guests at Scotts Hotel.
