Rose of Tralee
Kerry is home to Irelands longest running festival, The International Rose of Tralee, running for over 50 years. It is world renowned and famous. Just a 20-minute drive to our neighbouring town of Tralee. Held at the end of August each year. Street entertainment, live music, a host of activities including the Rose Parade, The Rose Ball, and many more.
Puck Fair
Held in the town of Killorglin, a 30-minute drive from Killarney is Puck Fair. Also held in August, the 10th, 11th and 12th it is Irelands oldest street festival. Traditionally, The King Puck, a wild goat is crowned by the Queen of Puck, a girl from the town. It is a 3-day event, all aptly titled Gathering day, Fair day and the last day is Scattering Day
The Bike Fest & INEC
The Bike Fest held on the June Bank Holiday Weekend is a fantastic event here in Killarney. A weekend full of family events, live music, markets, bars and restaurant pop ups. Bike enthusiasts from all over the world travel to this extravaganza held in the Bike Village situated on the Muckross Road. A tattoo convention, concerts and other events are held in conjunction with the festival.
The National Events Centre, INEC plays host to an array of first-class performers, throughout the year. International and national artists perform there nightly. Highly rated and considered an asset to Killarney and its surrounds. All tastes and variety are provided for. We can help our guests organize a night to remember.
Rally of The Lakes
The May Bank Holiday brings us the annual Rally of the Lakes. The on-road rally event is synonymous with the Lakes of Killarney. Fun for all ages, a great deal of events taking place around the town and for the car fanatic, a memorable event. Killarney becomes alive and Scotts Hotel plays host to many of the contributors and spectators of this incredible festival.
Killarney and our association to all nationalities and genre enables us to celebrate all that our dear tourists hold dearest. For every interest and love, our attention to detail is second to none. Dotted in between our major festivities are little gems of delight such as
Our Fourth of July Parade, to celebrate with our US family, their Independence and Tradition.
Our Christmas Parade to celebrate our children and Santa Claus, held on the Four Saturday nights leading up to Christmas Day
Dingle Food Fair a celebration of Irish Food and Beverage. Workshops, cooking demonstrations, market stalls and entertainment. And most Famously, The Taste Trail, held on the first weekend in October each year
Listowel Writers Week for the more intellectual, Ireland’s oldest Literary and Arts Festival, held the first week of June, each year. Writers, poets, and artists get to celebrate and enhance their talents. Workshops, readings, and plays held to commemorate Irish Literary Giants i.e., John B Keane, Patrick Kavanagh, and WB Yeats.
